The Sony NEX-5R's maximum shutter speed is 30 seconds and there's also a Bulb mode for even longer exposures, which is excellent news if you're seriously interested in night photography.

Images look clean up through ISO 800, good through ISO 1600, and remain usable through ISO 6400 depending upon subject matter and output size.

Using spot focus proved that the Sony NEX-5R's AF system is fast and accurate, but even when switching to multi-point AF the camera's sensors worked out the point of interest and locked on to their target with little lens refocusing.
