In general the handling of the 60D was a pretty positive experience - it has a larger grip than the Rebel/XXOD series, making it fit more comfortably in the hand for long periods of shooting.

The small body, large buttons and intuitive external controls, Creative Auto mode and on-screen Feature Guide make the EOS 1100d more appealing to owners of compacts looking to upgrade to a DSLR, but we'd also have liked to see an integrated cleaning system and the Scene Intelligent Auto mode included too, both features which would have made this camera even more beginner-friendly.

Although the raw files definitely contain more detail, the difference is only slight, especially at lower ISO sensitivities and most should be pleased with the results direct from the camera.
