Set to its 'silent' drive mode the 6D is also wonderfully quiet and discreet - great if you don't want to draw attention to yourself while shooting.

We would have liked to have seen an articulated LCD screen for easier composition, and the auto-focus system for movies is still decidedly clunky when compared to mirrorless cameras, but otherwise the 6D handles both stills and video with aplomb.

If you’re in the market for a pro-spec DSLR that offers excellent handling, fantastic image quality, impressive low-light performance and excellent video abilities then the Canon 5D Mark III definitely deserves to be on your shortlist.

We found that the screen provides a sharp, clear view even when shooting outside in bright sunlight.

And the Moiré effect? Mark III has a built in filter, which the 6d has not!
Thanks for noticing that Jim! We fixed it up.
I'm pretty sure that 23.98 and 24p video modes are basically the same thing. They both do 24p, 25p, 30p, 60p. why say they dont?
